Policies

Absence Policies (Monthly membership plans after August 2025)

To maintain fairness, class quality, and manageable class sizes, we provide a flexible makeup policy with clear guidelines based on your membership type. These policies ensure consistency and help prevent overuse of the system.

🔹1x/Week and 2x/Week Memberships

  • Students are eligible for:
    • 2 makeup classes per month (1x/week members)
    • 4 makeup classes per month (2x/week members)
    • All additional makeup classes beyond monthly allowance will be $10/class.

  • Makeup classes must be scheduled after a missed class and may only be used after returning to regular attendance.
  • All makeups must be used within 30 days of returning to regular classes.
  • All makeup classes must be scheduled and approved in advance — no walk-ins permitted.
  • Makeups are not guaranteed and are subject to space and instructor availability.
  • Makeups may not be used to attend more classes than your membership allows in any week unless approved in advance.

 🔹Unlimited Memberships

  • Unlimited members do not receive makeup classes, as their plan includes access to all eligible classes.
  • For absences of 2 weeks or more, a temporary account freeze may be requested. Academy closures do not count towards account freeze durations.
  • If the freeze is requested after monthly billing has already processed, any unused class days will be credited toward the next month’s tuition.
  • All freeze requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the planned absence.

🔹Freezes for 1x/Week and 2x/Week Memberships

  • Account freezes are available for future, unprocessed months only.
  • Freeze requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the 1st of the month (when billing runs). Otherwise, the makeup policy will apply.
  • If a student resumes training mid-month, their tuition will be prorated based on the number of remaining days, regardless of holidays or class attendance.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Makeups are a courtesy, not a guaranteed benefit.
  • Only actively enrolled members are eligible for makeup classes. Frozen or cancelled memberships status are not eligible.
  • These policies help us maintain high-quality instruction and ensure a fair, balanced class environment for all students.

Requesting Makeup or Account Freeze

All makeup and freeze requests must be submitted via email to admin@720martialarts.com.

🔹Makeup Class Requests:

  • Requests must be made after the missed class and before returning to class.
  • Please include:
    • The exact date(s) of the class(es) missed
    • Your regularly scheduled class day/time
  • All makeups must be scheduled and approved in advance — we will confirm available options based on class capacity.

🔹Account Freeze Requests:

  • Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the planned absence.
  • Please include:
    • The start and end date of the absence
    • The student’s full name
  • We will apply the freeze based on the dates provided and confirm your new billing schedule or credit adjustment (if applicable).

⚠️ Please note: Freeze requests submitted after your billing date will follow our standard absence policy and may not be eligible for full credit depending on membership type.

Absence Policies (Legacy 12-week plans only before July 2025):

Short-Term Absences:

We offer flexibility for make-up classes due to absences.

  • Students on the 1x or 2x per week membership are not limited to attending only 1x or 2x classes per week. Instead, they are expected to use all the allotted classes within the 12-week membership period.
  • Students on the unlimited membership can attend as many classes as needed, including for any make-ups sessions.

Long-Term Absences:

To accommodate planned travel and vacations, we allow extensions to the membership duration, up to the following limits:

  • 1x per week membership: 6-week extension per year (no roll-over)
  • 2x per week membership: 7-week extension per year (no roll-over)
  • Unlimited membership: 8-week extension per year (no roll-over)

Extensions must be requested in writing via email to admin@720martialarts.com (or through the student portal contact form) at least 48 hours before the membership expiration date. Please note that unused classes have no cash value and will not roll over once missed.

Class Policies:

Dress Code:

  • Full 720 training uniform: 720 shirt and long black training pants. Belt required for Youth & Teens.
  • Wushu training shoes.
  • Long hair must be tied back before class.
  • No jewelry, except post-style earrings.
  • Masks are required if the student has a cough. Please stay home if sick.

Please speak to onsite staff to purchase uniforms and shoes. Students will NOT be allowed to participate if they are missing required items (uniform, belt, shoes).

Check-In / Booking:

  • Check-In: All students and parents are required to check in at the iPad terminal before entering the facility. Note: all membership documents must be signed to attend classes.
  • Booking: It is highly recommended to book classes in advance, all classes have capacity limits. If the class is full and you have not booked, we may not be able to accommodate your attendance.
  • Please adhere to your scheduled days and class hours. Any changes to your scheduled class times must be requested in writing to admin@720martialarts.com

Financial Policies:

Membership:

Membership fees are billed at a flat rate, regardless of the number of classes in a given month (post-August 2025 plans) or 12 week period (legacy plans). This means the number of classes may vary due to holidays or scheduled closures, but your fee remains the same. (See "Absence Policies" for more details.) For monthly memberships, the initial monthly payment is prorated based on remaining days during the first month.

To activate and maintain your membership, a signed waiver and recurring payment agreement are required.

Auto Pay and Credit Card on File:

  • A valid credit/debit card must be kept on file for recurring payments. A reminder email will be sent 2 days prior to the renewal.
  • If you need to update your payment method, please notify us at least 48 hours before the renewal date. No refunds will be issued for failure to update the card in time. If the card is declined, the account must be brought current before the next class to continue participation.
  • If membership charge is unsuccessful for any reason (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), your membership will be considered inactive as of the failed payment date.

Drop Policy:

Enrollment is on a continuous basis until a written drop notice is received via email to admin@720martialarts.com or through the student portal contact form. This notice must include the student’s name, the last day of participation, and must be submitted at least 48 hours before the renewal date to avoid automatic renewal.

Refunds:

No refunds or credits will be issued for missed or unused classes. You are responsible for the full membership fees for the entire membership period, regardless of attendance. If a drop notice is received after a renewal date, the student will complete the remaining membership period, and no further renewals will be processed after that. For extenuating circumstances at 720 Martial Arts Academy’s discretion, refunds will be subject to a 10% processing fee.

Membership Expiration Date:

Membership expiration date marks the first date of the next upcoming membership cycle, and not the last day of the current cycle.

Sibling Discount Policy:

  • The first additional sibling enrolled receives a 10% discount on tuition.
  • Each subsequent sibling receives an incremental 5% increase in their discount.
  • Discounts are applied based on the order of enrollment.
  • The sibling discount remains valid as long as at least two or more siblings are actively enrolled.

Please Note: The sibling discount cannot be combined with other recurring membership discounts (e.g., Founders discount). In cases where multiple discounts apply, the greater discount will be used.
