Policies

Absence Policies:

Short-Term Absences:

We offer flexibility for make-up classes due to absences.

  • Students on the 1x or 2x per week membership are not limited to attending only 1x or 2x classes per week. Instead, they are expected to use all the allotted classes within the 12-week membership period.
  • Students on the unlimited membership can attend as many classes as needed, including for any make-ups sessions.

Long-Term Absences:

To accommodate planned travel and vacations, we allow extensions to the membership duration, up to the following limits:

  • 1x per week membership: 6-week extension per year (no roll-over)
  • 2x per week membership: 7-week extension per year (no roll-over)
  • Unlimited membership: 8-week extension per year (no roll-over)

Extensions must be requested in writing via email to admin@720martialarts.com (or through the student portal contact form) at least 48 hours before the membership expiration date. Please note that unused classes have no cash value and will not roll over once missed.

Medical Absences:

1. Notification:
Students or guardians must inform the school as soon as possible about medical absences.

2. Medical Clearance:
For injuries requiring extended recovery, a doctor’s note may be needed before returning to training. If restrictions apply, students must provide written guidelines from their healthcare provider.

3. Tuition Adjustments:

  • Short absences (one week or less) do not affect the membership period.
  • Extended absences may qualify for a membership extension with a doctor's note. If a student returns earlier than expected, any unused membership extension will be removed.

4. Communicable Illnesses:
Students with contagious illnesses should stay home until symptom-free for at least 24 hours.

Class Policies:

Dress Code:

  • Full 720 training uniform: 720 shirt and long black training pants. Belt required for Youth & Teens.
  • Wushu training shoes.
  • Long hair must be tied back before class.
  • No jewelry, except post-style earrings.
  • Masks are required if the student has a cough. Please stay home if sick.

For new students, please purchase in-person before your first class. Students will NOT be allowed to participate if they are missing required items (uniform, belt, shoes). Extra uniforms, belts, and shoes are available for purchase on-site.

Students may bring their own pants or shoes if they meet the following specifications:

Training Pants:

  • Color: Solid black (no excessive logos or patterns)
  • Material: Durable yet flexible fabric (cotton, polyester blend or athletic material)
  • Fit: Loose-fitting for mobility, but not overly baggy
  • Length: Full-length, reaching the ankles (no shorts or cropped pants)

Shoes:

  • Type: Lightweight martial arts shoes with flat rubber soles for stability and grip
  • Fit: Snug yet comfortable
  • Restrictions: No running shoes, thick-soled sneakers, cleats or barefoot training
  • Shoes must be clean and only worn indoors.

Check-In / Booking:

  • Check-In: All students and parents are required to check in at the iPad terminal before entering the facility. Note: all membership documents must be signed to attend classes.
  • Booking: It is highly recommended to book classes in advance, all classes have capacity limits. If the class is full and you have not booked, we may not be able to accommodate your attendance.

Financial Policies:

Membership:

All memberships are on a 12-week schedule starting from the initial enrollment date. Membership fees remain consistent, even during holidays (see "Absence Policies"). A signed waiver and recurring service agreement are required to activate and maintain your membership.

Auto Pay and Credit Card on File:

  • A valid credit/debit card must be kept on file for recurring payments. A reminder email will be sent 2 days prior to the renewal.
  • If you need to update your payment method, please notify us at least 48 hours before the renewal date. No refunds will be issued for failure to update the card in time. If the card is declined, the account must be brought current before the next class to continue participation.

Drop Policy:

Enrollment is continuous on a 12-week basis until a written drop notice is received via email to admin@720martialarts.com or through the student portal contact form. This notice must include the student’s name, the last day of participation, and must be submitted at least 48 hours before the renewal date to avoid automatic renewal.

Refunds:

No refunds or credits will be issued for missed or unused classes. You are responsible for the full membership fees for the entire 12-week period, regardless of attendance. If a drop notice is received after a renewal date, the student will complete the remaining 12-week period, and no further renewals will be processed after that. For extenuating circumstances at 720 Martial Arts Academy’s discretion, refunds will be subject to a 5% processing fee.

Sibling Discount Policy:

  • The first additional sibling enrolled receives a 10% discount on tuition.
  • Each subsequent sibling receives an incremental 5% increase in their discount.
  • Discounts are applied based on the order of enrollment.
  • The sibling discount remains valid as long as at least two or more siblings are actively enrolled.

Please Note: The sibling discount cannot be combined with other recurring membership discounts (e.g., Founders discount). In cases where multiple discounts apply, the greater discount will be used.
